Men’s Sea Glass Bolo Western Tie
This unique design was originally envisioned by a swanky sailor who describes himself as “a mountain man with a love of the sea”. There’s no better way to proclaim your love than with a piece of ultra rare ruby red Caribbean sea glass! Red sea glass is particularly rare because gold was originally used to achieve this striking color, making production very expensive. Very few red glass items were ever manufactured, and pieces that do find their way onto the beach may have come from ships’ warning lights, lanterns or glass dinnerware produced from the 1930s to the 1960s.
We have given these beauties center stage against a backdrop of frosty white glass attached to a sliding bolo clip that fastens securely to the genuine leather cord and completed the look with engraved silvertone bolo tips. The white pieces used in these ties are also of particular interest in that they are perfectly round and may be the bottom parts of bottles that survived long after the rest of the container was shattered and scattered along the ocean floor.
Men’s bolo assembled with black braided leather cord which measures 4 mm wide x 40 inches long. It features genuine surf-tumbled sea glass in white and red on a silvertone filigree plate.
